SIGN AND AWNING GRANTS
Did you know Barracks Row Main Street gives out tens of thousands of dollars of grant funding every single year to businesses located within our boundaries? Click here to download our Sign and Awning Grant Application! This program is funded in part by the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development, and provides up to 70% reimbursement for eligible expenses up to a $5,000 maximum for first-floor businesses on Barracks Row and up to a $1,000 maximum for upper-floor businesses!
Please contact our office at 202-544-3188 for more information on a DC Department of Housing and Community Development grant program we also administer for larger-scale façade projects!
INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS
Barracks Row Main Street also provides grants to help cover infrastructure improvements for our businesses. Eligible projects include Point of Sale systems, interior displays, structural/mechanical projects (for businesses with NNN leases) like HVAC systems, refrigeration units, electrical upgrades, and more! SECURITY GRANTS
Here at Barracks Row Main Street, we take the security of your business and our neighborhood very seriously! Did you know that the city provides grant funding to both businesses and residents to help defray the cost of installing exterior security cameras? You can find more information on the city's program, run through the DC Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants, by clicking here.

Did you know that the team here at Barracks Row Main Street has helped many of our small businesses to negotiate both initial leases and also lease renewals and modifications for our business community? We've also helped many of our businesses to "right-size" while staying on the Row by connecting them to other property owners who have space available on the street. Supplemental Business Advisory on Restaurant Fee Disclosure Requirements

In March 2023, the Office of Attorney General (OAG) provided guidance to District restaurants explaining their legal obligation under the D.C. Consumer Protection Procedures Act (CPPA) to disclose fees, including service fees, in a timely, prominent, and adequate manner. See D.C. Code § 28-3901, et seq.
