Barracks Row Main Street Launches First-Ever “Best Summer Beverage” Contest

 

Barracks Row’s Bars & Restaurants to Compete for the Ultimate Summer Sip Title – August 11 to September 14, 2025

Washington, D.C. – Barracks Row Main Street is thrilled to announce its first-ever “Best Summer Beverage Contest,” a spirited competition inviting local bars, restaurants, and cafés to showcase their most creative, refreshing summer drinks. From August 11 to September 14, 2025, establishments will battle it out in a bracket-style public vote, all in pursuit of the title Best Summertime Beverage on Barracks Row.

Whether it’s an inventive twist on a piña colada, a bold new mocktail, or a frozen creation unlike any other, local venues are encouraged to submit their alcoholic or non-alcoholic signature summer beverage.

 

Prizes for Participating Establishments:

First Place:

• $500 Marketing Grant

• Social Media Influencer One Month Package

• Half-page Hill Rag advertisement

• Custom Trophy + Neighborhood Bragging Rights

Second Place:

• $250 Marketing Grant​
   

How the Public Voting Bracket Works

All submitted drinks will be randomly seeded into a tournament-style bracket. Each week, drink matchups will be featured online and on social media with photos, recipes, and establishment names. The public will vote for their favorites via:

• Online polls on the contest webpage

• QR code signage at participating locations

• Social media polls and posts
   

The beverage with the most votes advances each round until a championship showdown determines the ultimate winner.
