In 2025, Barracks Row Main Street continued to deliver dynamic, high-impact events that strengthened community connections and elevated the cultural vibrancy of the 8th Street SE corridor. The year once again kicked off with a festive Mardi Gras Celebration, drawing crowds with parades, live music, and neighborhood-wide participation. In May, the expanded “May the 4th (Force) Be With You” weekend returned bigger and bolder, featuring immersive Star Wars–themed programming, pop-up experiences, live performances, and destination events that attracted visitors from across the DMV. Summer programming brought the community together through large-scale activations at Eastern Market Metro Park, including a high-energy Fourth of July concert and family-friendly activities that celebrated DC pride. The year culminated with Art All Night 2025: The Art of Otaku & Japan, transforming Barracks Row and Eastern Market Metro Park into an immersive cultural experience featuring Japanese pop art, live music, film screenings, interactive installations, and record-breaking attendance. Together, these events boosted foot traffic, supported local businesses, and reinforced Barracks Row’s role as a leading destination for arts, culture, and community engagement on Capitol Hill.
